Every business needs a website. And that website must have compelling landing pages – pages designed to promote and sell a product or service. These pages also provide a navigational path to a product or service, or otherwise provide information that will explain what your company is all about. In short, the goal of a landing page is usually to convert visitors into sales leads or customers.
In order to achieve this result you want to be sure the landing page has a clear call to action, that it’s hyper-focused, and that the call to action is unmistakable. Next you want to provide relevant content. Naturally, if the landing page doesn’t supply the needed content the visitor will leave too quickly to react to any additional products or services you offer.
Lastly, in terms of content, you’ll want to keep the text to a minimum in order to ensure the message stays simple and easy to read. If possible include testimonials from happy customers and lots of cool photos for visual interest. When it comes to ads, it’s best to ban rotating ones. Rotating ads give visitors multiple messages and cause confusion. Stick with one image to keep things direct and to support the call to action.
