Lamar Odom Will Have To Report To A Probation Officer For The Next Three Years
On Aug. 30 we told you that former Los Angeles Clippers forward Lamar Odom was arrested on DUI charges. The arrest occurred after the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star was pulled over on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley for driving in a “serpentine manner.” Lamar reportedly failed multiple sobriety tests and refused all chemical testing once he was transported to the police station.
Four months after the highly publicized incident, it looks like Lammie will finally be able to put the incident behind him. Well, sort of. According to TMZ the reality star was able to strike a deal after pleading “no contest” to the crime. In exchange for his plea, he won’t be serving any prison time, but he is required to complete a three-year probation sentence. In addition to the probation sentence, he has also been ordered to complete an alcohol education class by June 9 and pay $1,814 in fines and fees. Lamar’s driver’s license will also automatically be suspended for one year due to his refusal to submit to a BAC test.
Three years is a pretty lengthy probation sentence, but it certainly beats three years behind bars. Hopefully Lammie will find a way to stay out of trouble after all of this.
