Mathew Knowles Paternity Drama Ensues; Back Child Support Rises To A Whopping $24K
Unfortunately, it looks like child support drama between Mathew Knowles and his son’s mother, Alexsandra Wright, won’t be settled anytime soon. TMZ is reporting that the Music World Entertainment founder owes $24,000 in back child support for his three-year-old son, Nixon.
According to California State Records, Mathew has missed two of his required monthly $12,000 child support payments, bringing his tab to a whopping $24,000. Sources close to Alexsandra say that she’s in a pretty tight financial bind and was forced to pull her son out of preschool because she can no longer afford the tuition.
The paternity dispute between Mathew and Alexsandra has been a rather lengthy one. Back in August she even released a statement, insisting that Mathew simply refuses to take responsibility for the child they created together.
“My family and I have exhausted every non-legal avenue to urge Mathew to be a responsible father and to follow the stipulated judgment we reached together, which was approved by California’s Superior Court. The official judgment was filed and dated September 10, 2010. Every detail was covered and agreed to by Mr Knowles after a year of private negotiation,” she continued.
“We have attempted to appeal to him and his team to adhere to that agreement and the court’s stipulated judgment in regard to our son’s education, outstanding medical expenses and other issues, with the hopes of keeping this situation private, considering all parties involved. Unfortunately, we have been unsuccessful with any sort of private negotiation.”
It’s pretty unfortunate that an innocent child has been dragged into the middle of this drama.
