Please Get A Life Already: Westboro Baptist Church Plans To Protest At Paul Walker’s Funeral

- By

I know we were all somewhere in complete shock and utter sadness after news broke this past weekend that Fast and Furious star Paul Walker passed away in a fatal car crash. Reports said that Walker, 40, passed after the Porsche he was riding in on the way back from a charity event slammed into a light pole and burst into flames. But while we continue to feel sadness and mourn the actor and gorgeous man, the Westboro Baptist Church is preparing to show up at his funeral and picket it according to The Huffington Post.

Of course, the Westboro Baptist Church is a small hate group (let’s keep it real) known for its extreme views and anti-gay protests at the funerals of those in the military, but according to the Huffington Post, they’ll protest Walker’s funeral because he “taught a nation to be fast & furious.”

The church has taken to social media all this past weekend to confirm that they will picket the funeral, and to share their extremely misguided reasoning behind the actor’s death:

PERFECT, @tmz! Paul Walker taught a nation to be fast & furious. He died that same way. #GodIsNotMocked #WhosNext?

As my pastor would say, it’s always the people who speak evil and do the most hateful things that like to act like God is “on their side” and condones their behavior. But anyone who takes pleasure out of someone losing their life (including victims of that Metro North train derailment in NYC this past weekend), and a child losing a parent, is as evil and backwards as it gets and needs to stop using the name of the Lord to back up their bull. Do the world a favor and go far, far away already WBC…
