“We Both Been Through Hell Fighting 4a Dream”: K. Michelle Calls For A Truce With Tamar Braxton

- By

Last night, BET and Centric both aired the Soul Train Awards (which were taped at the beginning of November) and during the show, there were some major wins for both Tamar Braxton and K. Michelle. While K took home the Best New Artist award, Tamar picked up the “Song of the Year” award for “Love and War,” the Best R&B/Soul Female Artist award, and lastly, the Ashford and Simpson Songwriter’s Award. It was a great night for both women, and K took to her Twitter last night to respond to all the congrats and good wishes from her fans. But she also took a moment to extend an olive branch (her final one) to Tamar after everything they’ve been through.

I’m sure you’re fully aware of the back and forth these ladies have had ever since it was alleged that Tamar spoke out against K last year after the LHHATL said that Memphitz used to abuse her (Memphitz is of course the husband of Toya Wright, a friend of Tamar’s). Since then, folks have been called Muppets, irrelevant and more. But maybe the excitement over the Soul Train Awards caused K to have a change of heart, because this is what she had to say on Twitter late last night:

Tamar hasn’t responded as of yet, and really, I doubt that she will. OH WELL. Kudos to K for trying to let bygones be bygones, but it’s best if both ladies just hush up when it comes to each other and sing. Congratulations to the both of them on picking up some major trophies at the Soul Train Awards. They better do it!
