Precious Pooches: Our Favorite Celebrities And Their Pets

Though celebrity couples seem to come and go every day, pets are without a doubt the constant loving presence in many famous folks’ lives. With that said, here’s a look at some of our favorite celebrities and their pets.

Khloe Kardashian

Khloe Kardashian has certainly been through the wringer during her time in the spotlight. And while each member of the Kardashian clan seems to have scooped up their own pets, it’s Khloe’s adorable boxer Bernard who takes the cuteness crown. A gift from husband Lamar Odom, Bernard has been a mainstay in Khloe’s life — and her Twitter and Instagram feeds ==  since he was a puppy. Though we know Khloe has had some personal issues arise over the past several months, we’re sure that Bernard has been right by her side.

Given Rihanna’s hard partying ways and rock n’ roll lifestyle, we actually expected the songstress to have a slightly tougher dog than maltipoo Oliver. Come on, does RiRi really seem like the type who would have any adorably fluffy, “poo” dog? But either way, she seems to have nothing but love for her pooch Oliver, who she has had for over five years. After tweeting out the above photo, Rihanna’s response to the adorable slogan on Oliver’s sweater: “Yes I am you lil phucker,” but she did add: “I love him and he knows it!! Lol.” That’s the RiRi we know.

Count Oprah Winfrey’s five adorable dogs among the luckiest little you-know-whats in the whole wide world. Golden retrievers Luke and Layla, springer spaniels Sunny and Lauren, as well as cocker spaniel Sadie have called Oprah mama. We can only imagine the level of pampering that these cuties receive from Ms. Winfrey. We’re fairly confident most people’s yearly salaries wouldn’t cover what is spent on these pups’ grooming.

John Legend

Now those are some lucky puppies. Animal lover and R&B crooner John Legend is the owner of two precious French Bulldogs, Pippa and Puddy. Though for some time Puddy ran ish in the Legend household, he now shares the spotlight with little sis Pippa, who joined the family in 2011. Absolutely precious!

50 Cent

Oh 50, always have to make waves don’t you. Normally when celebrities decide to expand their family to include a new pet, there’s nothing but rainbows and butterflies associated with that event. But not when rapper 50 Cent decided to name his dog Oprah and, later, name his cat Gayle. Stemming from a years-long feud with the talk show icon, 50’s interesting naming choice came up during his sit-down with Oprah for her Next Chapter series. Though the two have hashed things out, there’s no denying the pooch’s name is still an awkward topic.

Josephine Baker

Legend. Icon. And cheetah owner? Josephine Baker was given a pet cheetah (named Chiquita) by a club owner who thought the singer and dancer could use the animal in her act. Chiquita would be play a sizable role in Josephine’s performances, but she also became a beloved companion for the trailblazing star.

Lisa Vanderpump

Anyone who has ever watched “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” is very well acquainted with Lisa Vanderpump’s pups Giggy and Rumpy Pumpy. The pampered pooches not only get to call Lisa and husband Ken’s palatial mansion home, but they also get all sorts of perks from their mom.

Coco Austin

Is it just us, or does CoCo Austin seem like the best doggie mama to ever live? With her bubbly and outgoing personality, CoCo is an endless stream of fun for bulldogs Spartacus and Maximus. The reality show star, model and actress is constantly spotted with her wrinkly little buddies and we can only imagine just how pampered those pooches are. Actually, we don’t even have to imagine. Among some of her pups’ perks: Costumes, photo shoots, vacations in Los Cabos and run-ins with celebrities. That must be a nice life.

Barack Obama

Did you really think we could rattle off our favorite celebrities and their pets without including the First Dogs? We all instantly fell in love with Portuguese Water Dogs Bo and Abby, who were clearly welcomed additions to Barack, Michelle, Sasha and Malia’s lives. Though the First Family may have gotten some flack for not adopting their first dog, Bo, from a shelter, that certainly hasn’t diminished the impact that we’re sure he and his sis have had in the White House.

Jennifer Lopez

We may still be waiting for wedding bells to ring and baby bumps to form for Jennifer Lopez and her boo Casper Smart, but the couple has already brought some new additions to their lives. Boxers Roxy and Bear have kept the happy couple company for quite a while and, we’re sure, have brought a lot of joy to J-Lo’s children, Max and Emme, as well.

Nick Cannon

Introduced to the lovable Jack Russell breed by wife Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon has definitely developed an affinity for these adorable pooches. Though the couple started with just a few pups, they are now the proud parents of eight little ones … not to mention also being parents to twins Monroe and Moroccan.

Amanda Bynes

Lord have mercy, this chick has a dog. While we wish Amanda Bynes nothing but the best as she attempts to get her life back in order, we really must insist that she not be let near any animals. Someone get this pooch, please.

R&B singer Ciara also jumped on the puppy bandwagon, becoming a mom to Tyson and Georgia. Though she definitely went the frou frou route with her doggie selections, if these two cuties have even the spunk Ciara has, they will definitely be able to hold their own in the dog park, son.
