Morris Chestnut Pretty Much Confirms A Third “Best Man”
If you haven’t seen “The Best Man Holiday” yet I’ll warn you this post may be a bit of a spoiler. For those who have seen the no. 2 movie in the country right now, you know that with the way the “Best Man” sequel ended, we were pretty much set up for a part three. And when Morris Chestnut popped up on moviegoers at Rave Cinemas in Baldwin Hills this weekend he pretty much confirmed a third installment of the movie is in the works.
According to Necole Bitchie, the handsome chocolate specimen told fans in the theater:
“[The director] is already breaking down storylines for my character in the [next] movie so I already know what will happen.”
Please share Morris! Please!
Deadline is also already reporting that director Malcolm D. Lee is already in talks for part three, writing:
“Malcolm D. Lee is negotiating a deal with Universal to write, direct and produce another installment of the hit ensemble romantic comedy. Sean Daniel is also in talks to come back and produce another film through his The Sean Daniel Company shingle. No word yet on locking in the ensemble cast.”
I was hoping “The Best Man Holiday” would do well enough to warrant a third part, and after a $30.6 million opening weekend I believe it has. But, with the way things ended I’m having a hard time imaging what could possibly happen in a threquel –without throwing off the chemistry of the cast who fits together marvelously, if you know what I mean.
I have absolutely no chill when it comes to this movie and the possibility of another installment so please help me figure out what could go down between the cast members — other than the obvious second wedding. Thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas?
