In her column, Scott went into the details of how she lost passion for her business and then worked to regain it. When she stopped paying attention to her personal needs — rest, time with family, a strong staff of reliable workers and stylists — things went downhill.

It’s hard to think you’d become disinterested in something you put so much thought, time, and effort into, but it can happen. “Come to grips and be honest. I had to change my mind or I would have lost everything,” Scott wrote during the chat.

It’s also not something you hear too often.

“It’s extremely common. You make a lot of sacrifices in business and you don’t realize it until your in it,” she added.
