Finally, in her column, Scott talked about the importance of selective hiring. So we asked, “What’s the most important question to ask a new hire?”
“‘Tell me about a time when you had to go above and beyond to get a job done,”” she told us because it’s an indicator of a person’s work ethic. Not only that, you should be looking for employees who are in it both for themselves and for the business. “[You’re] looking for dedication and creativity,” she said.
