Just as Chris Brown was patching his reputation back together, he was accused of injuring a 24-year-old club goer back in June. Eyewitnesses, however, say that the so-called assault never happened. In response, Brown is counter suing her for lying about the incident, TMZ reports.
Five months ago, Deanna Grimes claimed that Chris Brown shoved her to the ground outside the Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, Calif. “With the push, I fell down to the ground on my knees, legs, and everything and I did end up going to the hospital,” Grimes told TMZ over the phone. “I have a torn ligament in my knee. An apology would be great; that’s what I’m looking for.”
Brown responded to the TMZ story with a tweet and said “please stop with the false stories. I don’t usually comment but I didn’t do anything.”
According to MN, Grimes’ story never seemed to add up. The club owner and eyewitnesses support Brown’s version of events. One source called Grimes “an obsessed, drunk girl using Chris as part of her fantasy club night. He is the victim of her wild imagination and overindulgence in alcohol and who knows what else,” according to the NY Daily News.
To combat the slanderous story, Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos is filing a countersuit against Grimes. “Brown seems to believe that she’s either a liar looking to get paid,” 411Mania says, “or is trying to avoid blame for her embarrassing behavior while drunk.” Brown and other eyewitnesses note that Grimes never even came into contact with the Fine China singer — he was surrounded by security all night. The case claims Grimes contacted TMZ two days later after the incident and even shared a photo of herself in a cast.
“The devil is always working. If it wasn’t for my faith and my fans, I would’ve [quit] music a long time ago,” he tweeted after the story went viral. “I’m tired of it man….!
