The has been quite a few feuds between the Atlanta housewives over the years. We’ve had NeNe vs. Kandi, Kenya vs. Porsha, NeNe vs. Phaedra and so on. But never has there been any visual tension between Phaedra and Porsha, so it came as a bit of a surprise when Phaedra seemed to throw a little shade Porsha’s way during Sunday night’s episode. In case you missed it, Porsha debuted her new short hair cut and the only comment Phaedra could muster up was “She has a very small head. Small heads mean little brains.” That of course, wasn’t a very nice thing to say; especially since the ladies refer to each other as “friends.” During a recent interview with Wet Paint, the mom of two tried to explain the comment.

“You know, I love Porsha. She and I, we have a wonderful relationship. Last season, I didn’t get to know her very well. But after it was announced, unfortunately, that she would be getting a divorce, she and I began to talk frequently. I wanted her to know I supported her and I wanted to give her good and accurate advice on the legal system. I just wanted to be there for her. Since then, we’ve hung out; she celebrated my birthday with me a week ago and she comes to my home quite often. I think she’s a wonderful girl,” Phaedra said.

After having said all of that, she went on to imply that Porsha is kind of an airhead—with “a lot of sense.”

“That said, we all know Porsha’s somewhat of a… blonde sometimes.  I don’t think she thinks she’s going to be the next astronaut, you know, but she’s a beautiful girl. Beauty and brains it’s a great combination, but beauty is sometimes even better.

I did say she has a small brain because she does say some things that are very…comical. But at the end of the day, she’s become a formidable businesswoman. She’s got her hair line and she’s also doing interior decorating. She’s actually helping me with some things. Under all of that hair, she’s got a lot of sense.”

The remark still seems pretty mean if you ask us. But hey, who asked us?

What did you think of Phaedra’s “little brains” comment?
