Conrad Murray Released From Prison
Well ladies and gents, the man responsible for contributing to the death of music icon, Michael Jackson, is officially a free man. According to TMZ, Conrad Murry was released from prison at 12:01 this morning, after serving a two-year prison sentence.
If you recall, Conrad has been locked up since November 2011 after he was convicted of manslaughter. Sources from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department say that instead of making a dramatic exit from the prison and taking advantage of the photo opps that awaited, Conrad snuck out of the back entrance to avoid the photographers who eagerly awaited his departure outside.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering what Conrad will be doing with his time now that he’s a free man and all, we hear that he’s trying to get his medical license back. This of course, isn’t exactly surprising. Just last month, after a jury ruled in favor of AEG in M.J.’s wrongful death suit, audio leaked of Conrad praising God, as if AEG’s verdict somehow proved that he was innocent.
“Lord, today you have vindicated my image. Today, you told the world, contrary to the tainted portrayal of me, I have never been and never will be an inept physician. This has always been a frivolous and unjust lawsuit. This time, there is justice. This time, the jury got it right. Thank you Lord,” he says in the message.
Though Conrad has served his debt to society, as to be expected, fans are still pretty livid over what went down. In addition to a gang of photographers, a crowd of hecklers also waited outside of the prison for Conrad to make en exit. But when he snuck out of the back exit, they decided to direct their insults at his attorney, Valerie Wass, instead.
“He’s an incompetent doctor, just like you’re an incompetent lawyer,” one fan says.
At one point, Valerie got so frustrated with the hecklers that she even resorted to arguing with them.
