Meeka Claxton Dishes On Her Return To Reality TV

October 22, 2013  |

Though Meeka Claxton’s run with VH1 reality show Basketball Wives was a short-lived one, the outspoken reality star says that she definitely has plans of returning to a television near you, very soon.

“I will be returning [to reality TV]. I am in talks for a few options and I’m deciding what will work for my family and I,” she said during an interview with Everything Girls Love.

Though her first and only season of Basketball Wives seemed to end on a negative note, Meeka insists that some positive things did come as a result of her participation on the show.

“It gave me a platform for my businesses and I’ve actually added five more businesses to my portfolio since I’ve been on the show. So, there’s definitely a benefit.”

As for the recent apology that she received from former co-star Tami Roman, Meeka is convinced that it came from a sincere place.

“It was deep, and it was truly a sincere reconciliation. I think her turning point was when she started to get a lot of backlash from viewers, and people not only passing judgment on her, but her family. I was a victim of similar backlash and opinions when I was portrayed in a light not consistent with my character.”

Meeka was also sure to let it be known that Basketball Wives is not an accurate representation of how real NBA wives behave.

“It was deep, and it was truly a sincere reconciliation. I think her turning point was when she started to get a lot of backlash from viewers, and people not only passing judgment on her, but her family. I was a victim of similar backlash and opinions when I was portrayed in a light not consistent with my character.”

Would you watch Meeka’s reality show if it gets picked up?
