Colorlines’ Rinku Sen: “People Of Color, People Who Care About Racial Justice Are A Huge Audience In This Country”

October 18, 2013  |

Yesterday, MadameNoire Business participated in a Twitter chat, “Covering Race in the Media,” hosted by TTG+Partners and featuring special guest Rinku Sen, publisher of Colorlines and the president and executive director of the Applied Research Center.

As we all know, diversity remains a pressing issue in the media, both in hiring practices and story content. During our discussion yesterday, we touched on some of the reasons why these issues persist and how they can be overcome. Here’s a recap of that conversation, also available here. And be sure to follow MN Business’ Twitter chats (there will be more to come) at #MNBizchats.
