Rappers’ Relationship Rekindled! Future’s Back On Drake’s Tour

October 18, 2013  |

Future, who was previously ejected from the “Would You Like a Tour?” tour, confirmed to Rolling Stone that he will be joining Drake and Miguel once again. “Back in Atl getting ready for tour..1st stop Pittsburgh,” he tweeted.

As MN has reported, the squabble began when Future spoke ill of Drake’s latest “Nothing Was The Same” album by reportedly calling his own project — Honest — “better.” Drake wasted no time throwing him off of the 39-city tour.

“Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do. […] I’ve been on the songs of all these rappers that put out an album, and my music is still better,” Future said in the foot-in-mouth quote that almost cost the “Turn On the Lights” singer $40,000 per gig.

Future’s reps, furious at Billboard magazine, argued that Future’s words were misinterpreted. “Respect to Billboard, disappointed on being misquoted..always love for my fam Drizzy Drake,” Future tweeted. In response, the online article published by Erika Ramirez was edited to appease Future’s team. “We regret that miscommunication surrounding Future’s recent visit, one that seemed clear to us was on the record, may have caused any trouble for the artist,” a Billboard rep announced.

However, the damage control did nothing and Drake’s team fired Future. In retaliation, Future was preparing  to fling a hefty $1.5 million lawsuit at Drake for lost wages. Finally, calling a cease fire on Thursday, both artists worked out their differences some way and Future is back on board!

Although Future wanted to talk up his new album Honest, sometimes it’s best to keep the lips zipped for the sake of a paycheck It would have saved him the trouble.

The tour is slated to begin on October 18th in Pittsburgh, PA. “I’m looking forward to hitting the road this fall. Love4Life Honest,” Future told Rolling Stone.
