Kelly Rowland Denies Marriage Rumors, Says She’s Still Not Ready To Be A Mom
Apparently the rumor mill has been busy with talk that Kelly Rowland and her new beau, Tim Witherspoon, pulled a Kerry Washington and got hitched when no one was watching. During a recent interview with E! News the “Dirty Laundry” singer denied the rumors.
“I don’t know [when I’ll be ready to tie the knot]. Too busy with the career. I do want kids, I do want to be married,” Kelly said in response to the marriage talk.
Kelly added that when she does decide that she’s ready to be a mom, she only wants one child.
“I want one kid,” she specifically told Terrence J. “I just want to make sure that kid is straight, you know, smart, nice, mentally stable,” she continued.
Though she’s not quite ready to pop out a child of her own, she is open to babysitting for family members and friends.
“It’s been a minute [since I babysat]. I think I would really enjoy it right now, because I just need to hold a kid and give it back. Sometimes its good birth control. I’m still selfish.”
This of course, isn’t the first time Kelly has expressed wanting to put off child birth, back in April she shared similar sentiments.
“Because right now, I’m a bit selfish, a lot—I was gonna say a little—but I’m still selfish. I like my time, I like to wake up whenever I want to and I like to come and go as I please. I don’t know if I’m ready to share that time with another person, I don’t wanna mess them up,” the former Destiny’s Child singer said.
