After years of bitter divorce disputes, multiple domestic violence allegations and a few alleged death threats, Terrence Howard and his ex-wife, Michelle Ghent, have finally agreed to stay away from each other… for the next three years at least.
The agreement came as the result of a requested restraining order filed by Ghent against Howard, after he allegedly left her with a black eye. The alleged incident occurred during one of their secret reunions this summer in Costa Rica. If you’re feeling a bit confused, allow me to catch you up to speed. Although they filed for divorce back in 2011 and the divorce was finalized May of this year, the two have been secretly seeing each other. During their little reunion, things went awry. Ghent came back to the States claiming that the actor had beaten her and Howard came back claiming that she threatened to kill herself and his family. They’ve been fighting back and forth in court regarding Michelle’s request for a restraining order ever since. Well, until now that is.
According to TMZ, Howard has agreed to the restraining order, which prohibits him from coming within 100 yards of his ex-wife for the next three years. But wait, there’s more. He has also agreed to pay $14,800 of her legal fees. Let’s all bow our heads in prayer and hope that these two actually stay away from each other.
