Well the world may have a problem with Miley twerking on Robin Thicke at the MTV VMAs, but his wife, Paula Patton, surely doesn’t. E! online  spotted the he 37-year-old actress’s appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” when she finally gave her take on one of Robin’s many antics that night, and she essentially said she doesn’t understand what the big deal was with Miley’s scantily clad performance.

“Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand, and I don’t know how not to dance with someone having their booty in your…all my friends do it like that and, I don’t really know what the big deal is.

“I didn’t know if they thought Miley was going to sit down and play piano like Alicia Keys. Her song’s about taking Molly! I don’t understand. I didn’t get the big deal.”

I think the biggest shock out of that entire paragraph is the fact that the performance was actually rehearsed beforehand — and for three days at that. I would’ve bet money that Miley was up there just winging it at some point. But nevertheless, to answer Paula’s question: no, we definitely didn’t think Miley would pull an Alicia Keys, but most of us didn’t think she’d pull a tasteless stunt like that on a married man either. But then again, we didn’t know how Robin and Paula got down at the time.

Despite Paula’s defense of her hubby’s show, when it comes to some celebs it’s never to late to throw shade. USA Today decided to ask musical legend Cher what she thought of Miley’s twerfest and her response wasn’t pretty:

“I’m not old-fashioned. She could have come out unclothed, and if she’d just rocked the house, I would have said, ‘You go, girl.’ It just wasn’t done well. She can’t dance, her body looked like hell, the song wasn’t great, one cheek was hanging out. And, chick, don’t stick out your tongue if it’s coated.”

Well damn.
