Medical Examiner In Zimmerman Trial To Sue Sanford, Says There’s Proof Trayvon Was Not The Agressor

September 12, 2013  |

The pitfalls of the George Zimmerman trial become more and more apparent as the days go on. Not only is Zimmerman running the streets, proving himself to be the man most of us thought he was, Juror B29 is still talking, reminding us that he “got away with murder.” And now in the most recent development, the former medical examiner who testified in the Zimmerman trial, Dr. Shiping Bao, is filing a $100 million dollar lawsuit against Sanford, Florida.

Bao claims that he was unfairly terminated from his job and that the state attorney’s office and the Sanford Police Department were biased against Trayvon Martin.

His attorney, Willie Gary told WFTV that their general attitude was that Martin got what he deserved. Gary said Dr. Bao was made the scapegoat in the case and was fired from the medical examiner’s office when he was prepared to offer proof that Martin was not the aggressor in the altercation between he and Zimmerman.

Gary says, “he was in essence told to zip his lips. ‘Shut up. Don’t say those things.'”

He said that prosecutors never asked Bao a question that was crucial to their case.

“He wanted a question that would have allowed him to explain to the jury with scientific evidence how there was no way Trayvon Martin could have been on top of George Zimmerman.”

But that question never came.

When Bao took the stand during the trial, he did make some compelling statements about the last minutes of Trayvon’s life.

“I believe it is my opinion that Trayvon Martin was in a lot of pain, and that he was suffering. I believe he was alive one to 10 minutes after he was shot. His heart was beating until there was no blood left.”

Initially when I read the sentence about the question never coming, I thought Gary meant that the defense never asked Dr. Bao this crucial question. But that definitely says the prosecution. In which case, there was some true corruption and possibly even more injustice than we could have imagined going on with this case from start to finish.  I truly hope the Department of Justice reviews, opens or completely retries this case. At this point, with evidence discarded in a murder trial, it’s a joke, an all out mockery of the justice system and a disgusting disservice to the Martin family. Considering how many times George Zimmerman has been in legal trouble, long before he killed Trayvon, and gotten off, it would seem that he or his family has some type of pull in that community.
