She Did That! D’Angela Proctor Takes Senior VP Seat On TV One Network
You may not know her by name, but you’ve definitely seen or heard of her work. D’Angela Proctor, an executive producer for reality series Sunday Best and The Family Crews, has been named senior vice president of programming and production at TV One, according to a press release, just as the network reaches some high points in viewership.
“D’Angela is a stellar choice to help us build on the programming success we’ve achieved at TV One,” said Alfred Liggins, president and CEO of TV One. “Her strong relationships throughout the creative and production community have already proven beneficial as we continue to develop our slate.”
TV One will rely on Proctor to make the best strategic moves in terms of original programming and the development of productions for the network. With “R&B Divas” giving TV One its highest ratings in July, the new SVP is expected to continue the network’s trajectory to success.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of the evolution of TV One,” remarked Proctor in a press statement. “It’s an honor to be a part of the team behind signature series like Unsung and R&B Divas.”
Proctor, who has also executive produced Daddy’s Girl, a documentary about Laila Ali, and Family Reunion on TV One, also created a new docu-series on OWN titled “Crazy. S*xy. Life” which will feature celebrity hair stylist Kiyah Wright with her three friends who all who are nearing 40.
