She’s Not Just A CoverGirl. Queen Latifah Is A Hair Model As Pantene Brand Ambassador

You already know her for her music, her performances in movies like Chicago (for which she was nominated for an Oscar) and Last Holiday, and for her Queen line of CoverGirl makeup products. Now you can add hair model to Queen Latifah’s impressive resume. She has joined Courtney Cox, Zooey Deschanel, and Eva Mendez as a brand ambassador for the haircare brand.

Queen Latifah will be repping the Truly Relaxed and Truly Natural Collection. Jumping right into her role as spokesperson for the brand, she tells People magazine that she’s been wanting to work with Pantene for a while because of the variety of hairstyles that black women wear.

“That means we have to have the products that really work for all of our various looks, and Pantene is so versatile,” she told the mag. She also said that she was looking forward to rocking more natural ‘dos in the months to come.

She’s also going to be participating in the September 7 National Donate Your Hair Day, which will take lots of locks and turn them into wigs for women undergoing cancer treatment. A video about the program is attached below.

We also forgot to mention that Queen Latifah is heading back to daytime. Her eponymous talk show will debut on September 16. “… I want to make sure that we entertain at the fullest,” she told Entertainment Tonight. Just as an FYI, turns out that Overbrook Entertainment, the production company owned by Will and Jada Pinkett Smith is a co-producer for the show alongside Latifah’s own Flavor Unit.
