In case you’ve been wondering what Lil’ Scrappy has been up to since getting clean in rehab, he’s actually been busy loving up on his new boo, Basketball Wives L.A. star Adiz Bambi. It appears that the two began boo loving somewhere around his 30-day rehab stint and have been inseparable ever since. The budding love affair hasn’t been all butterflies and rainbows though. According to TMZ, the “Prince of the South” was arrested at a Georgia gas station yesterday after he put them paws on a man who was talking slick about his boo boo Bambi.
The way the story is being told, around 2:33 am cops responded to a 911 call that there were two men fighting. When officers arrived on the scene, they were able to successfully break up the fight. According to reports, Scrappy got into it with a man named Kenny Rogers, who allegedly started off by calling Bambi names and then proceeded to physically attack Scrappy.
“He was calling my girlfriend names and then put his hands on me … so I had to lay them paws on him,” the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star told TMZ.
Scrappy’s lawyer Mawuli Mel Davis says that there is video evidence proving that his client was not the aggressor in the altercation. He also revealed hat Rogers was actually intoxicated at the time of the incident.
“Mr. Rogers was clearly intoxicated and was the aggressor. Scrappy had to defend himself,” Davis told RumorFix.
He adds that this will not in any way impact the reality star’s probation.
“It was an unfortunate situation that he attempted to avoid.”
After being arrested and cooperating with police officers, Scrappy was let go. He insists that he will continue to cooperate with law enforcement regarding the altercation, but will not press charges against Rogers.
