Kelly Price Blows The Whistle On ‘R&B Divas:’ Fans ‘Need To Know What Really Happened’
At this point, most R&B Divas: LA fans are aware that Kelly Price isn’t too pleased with the way that she has been portrayed on the show. For weeks, cast members have been going back and forth in the media either confirming or refuting the accuracy of her depiction on the show, but for this first time since stuff really hit the fan, Kelly is coming forward to defend herself. In a seemingly juicy interview with C.Nikky, Kelly is telling her side of the story.
On her behavior on the show:
“You will never hear me say, ‘that’s not the truth.’ What people have seen is my emotions at extremes.”
On behind-the-scenes shadiness and shifty editing:
“These are things that actually happened, that people may not want to say happened, but I don’t have a problem saying that they happened because they did.”
“Boots, vaseline and a straight edge. When I saw the trailer, I nearly gagged.”
“That’s just the real of what was happening that people will never see and other than this interview, if no one ever tells it, they may never hear or know. ”
“I did this for the people who are watching. They need to know what really happened. At this point, everyone has to make their own decision, but it is the truth. It is the 100% truth.”
On losing fans as a result of the show:
“My fans are not the people who came online and called me out of my name and cursed the day that I was born. Those are not fans. To me those are temperamental people who really got too involved in television. My fans are the people who held me accountable and I want to say thank you to them.”
On being singled out for having scheduled shows:
“All of the ladies had bookings throughout the season and they became issues during shooting at some point with everyone.”
On being coached to engage in uncomfortable situations:
“‘Kind of go along with it it, it could be funny.’ That’s not funny to me.”
The full interview will more than likely hit the web later this week.
