Drake Finally Comments On Those “Ugly” Jabs From Troubled Star Amanda Bynes
In the new issue of XXL, Drake discusses his new music, including the album Nothing Was The Same (Sept. 17), his image (“I was just some young kid on a TV show. And I haven’t become anything else while I’ve been in this position”), who he finds to be competition in the hip-hop game aside from Kanye (“I’m ready for whatever with anybody”), and his success (“I get Jewish people coming up to me proud like, ‘Mazel Tov, bro. Come to my house for Shabbat dinner‘”). But what stood out most from his interview so far was his response to the question of what he thinks of troubled actress Amanda Bynes Tweeting about him for a majority of the first part of this year.
As you know, when she wasn’t asking Drizzy to murder her v*gina, she was calling him ugly, even saying he looked like had Down Syndrome and had folks saying she could be a better rapper than him. Of course, this was all a sign of bigger issues, which Bynes is currently being treated for (reportedly schizophrenia). But as the Tweets kept coming, Drake remained silent. So what does he think about her barrage of comments over the months? They left him more confused and sad than anything else.
“I don’t even know who that is doing that or what that’s about. If that is her, I guess it’s a little weird and disturbing. It’s obviously a behavioral pattern that is way bigger than me. Whoever is behind it, whether it’s her or somebody else, they know people are paying attention so they keep it going.”
What do you think?
You can check out Drizzy’s full interview when the new issue of XXL with the rapper looking kind of hot on the cover drops on August 20.
