Last week, some of you weren’t too happy when we posted a video interview with Iyanla Vanzant in which she said that black women are out of order. Specifically, Miss Vanzant remarked that “if we really understood who we are, we wouldn’t be so apt to let other people define us and confine us. We are out of order!”’

Though many didn’t disagree with the life coach’s sentiments, there was concern over why she chose to single out black women specifically, and what the motive was behind her harsh criticisms. In part two of this video segment, Vanzant clarifies where she was coming from with her observation, pointing out that so many of us just don’t know (what it means to be a woman) because our mothers didn’t know; and they didn’t know because their grandmothers didn’t know, and so on.

Check out this next snippet and tell us what you think about Iyanla Vanant’s clarification. Are you feeling her statements? Yay or nay?
