Get The North West Look: Kim Kardashian To Design A New Baby Collection For Sears Line

August 6, 2013  |

Barely out of the womb and little North West is already inspiring Kim Kardashian to take on a new business venture: children’s clothing. Along with designer Lloyd Kelin, who has dressed Eva Longoria and Tyra Banks, the new mother will be fashioning a new line for babies, reports NY Daily News.

“It clicked for Kim when she started looking for designer pieces for her own baby and saw nothing that really grabbed her and was cost-effective,” a source told Radar Online. Naturally, Kim Kardashian wants to capitalize on the lack of glamarous, inexpensive onesies and introduce a new kids’ clothing line.

“[The Kardashians] are doing clever moves. They are fantastic and beautiful—so it works,” Klien said. He envisions the design for the line to be mostly “soft colors, pastels, something very dreamy and still trendy.”

Kim has been in talks in her mother, Kris Jenner, and they are also masterminding “maternity clothes for young, expectant moms who want to stay fashionable throughout their pregnancy. The Kardashian Kollection brand, in Sears, “would make designer baby and pregnancy wear affordable for anybody,” the source added.

The Canadian designer sees North West as the perfect “poster child” for the baby clothing line. But Kanye may not approve. Sources say he wants his daughter out of the spotlight. “Reports claim that the rapper has been fighting with fame-loving [Kris] Jenner over appearances on ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’, commercial ventures and ‘leaked’ pictures of his baby,” reports

One thing’s for sure, this new baby business will more than likely be successful. Kim Kardashian’s marketing power is great. Klein says that Kardashian once wore one of his dresses and “it got sold all over the world, even in the Middle East.”

Would you make a purchase from Kim Kardashian’s baby line?
