‘I Promise You On My Hello Kitty, I Don’t Owe Her A F***ing Dime:’ NeNe Responds To Wedding Planner’s Lawsuit
You can take the NeNe out of the hood, but you can’t take the hood out the NeNe.
During last season of Real Housewives of Atlanta, the platinum-haired Glee star let it be known that whether she’s living in the Hollywood Hills or Atlanta, Georgia, she has no qualms about getting “straight hood” when necessary. It appears that the recent lawsuit filed against her by her alleged wedding planner, Tiffany Cook, is one of those necessary situations.
In case you blinked and missed it, owner of Dream Design Weddings, Tiffany Cook, recently filed a $2.5 million lawsuit against the reality star, claiming that with the exception of an initial $18, 750 down payment, she has yet to be compensated for the services she provided in the coordinating of NeNe’s soon-to-be televised wedding. There’s just on problem though. NeNe claims that her planner was actually Tony Conway, not Tiffany Cook. Yesterday we told you that NeNe’s reps claim that suit is only Tiffany’s desperate attempt to cling to her 15 minutes of fame.
“This lawsuit has no merit and it appears to be a baseless attempt to grab 15 min of fame,” the rep said.
TMZ recently caught up with the newly wed. When asked about the scandal, NeNe responded:
“Tell that b***h to show you the check and show you the damn contract. If she can prove to you that she got a check from me and a contract from me, then I will pay you! Tell her to show you the check with my name on it. I promise you on my motherf***ing hello kitty, I don’t owe her a f***ing dime.”
NeNe also utilized popular social networking site, Twitter, to poke fun at the case and speak out against the allegations.
She went on to say that she’s a person who pays her bills.
“My wedding planner was Tony Conway & I don’t owe him a dime! My wedding was paid 4 n cash! Tune n Sept 17th @ 9pm on Bravo & see 4 yourself,” she tweeted
“I don’t roll like that! I’m good 2 everyone that is good 2 me & I pay my bills! Wrong person hunni,” she added.
Then, the real shade and jokes began.
What’s interesting about all of this is when I Dream of NeNe was first confirmed by Bravo, Cook was named as NeNe’s wedding planner. Now I can’t say for sure what happened between the announcement and the actual wedding, but I’m sure we’ll all find out when the show airs.
In other NeNe news, it appears that she’s also on the outs with her “big sis” Wendy Williams. When fans asked about her relationship with the popular talk show host, her response implied that the friendship had somehow deteriorated.
This of course isn’t exactly surprising. Just a few months ago NeNe took offense to some comments Wendy made about her relationship with Gregg.
