Shahada Karim created Habibi Bath and Beauty with recipes passed down through generations of her family–from her grandmother, to mother, to her. She describes her methods of using modern technology with homemade remedies as “East meets West.”
“I combine the basic teachings of ayurvedic healing with an expanded knowledge of essential oils, herbs, botanicals, nut butters and oils,” she says on company’s website. Each product contains organic shea butter, healing nut oils, and soothing botanicals.
Even their fragrances are meant to have a “therapeutic” effect, like lavender to calm the senses or chamomile to soften the body.
