There are some things that a parent should never say to a child and “F**k you… I don’t have a son anymore” is certainly one of them. Unfortunately, that is just one of many of the spirit-breaking one-liners found in leaked text messages that rapper 50 Cent reportedly sent to his 16-year-old son, Marquise Jackson. Yesterday the Southside Jamaica, Queens rapper made headlines for the way that he allegedly verbally abused and belittled his teen son in the leaked messages, but now, he’s offering an explanation. According to 50’s Twitter account, the person on the receiving end of the text messages was actually his son’s mother, Shaniqua Thompkins.

“That was his mother texting me as him.she sold that to a web site.she hate me for Winning, it’s hard to replace me,” 50 wrote in response to a Twitter follower who asked why he’d spoken to his son so harshly.

Less than one hour later, he released a tweet announcing that he tweaked his will and that he intends to leave most of his money to deceased hip hop manager Chris Lighty’s daughter, Tiffany Lighty.

“I rewrote my will today now when I pass away all my physical property’s and MOST of my money go’s to charities and TIFFANY LIGHTY so when I’m done she can be 50cent #SMSAUDIO.”

A message regarding the incident was also posted to a Facebook account that appears to belong to the rapper-turned-actor, in which he continues to place the blame on Shaniqua for the troubled relationship he has with his son.

“My son loves me but his momma poisoned his mind acting like everything they got ain’t come from my grind,” the post reads.

It’s difficult to tell exactly what’s going on and why 50 is blaming Shaniqua for messages that he hasn’t denied sending, but hopefully he and Marquise are able to resolve their differences.
