If you’re unhappy with the results at the hair salon, don’t just walk out. If it just seems off, tell your stylists you will live with it for a few days and see how you feel about it. “If it still doesn’t feel right, call your salon and discuss what can be done to change it,” says Hair Romance. If the stylist made the mistake, ask them to fix it for free. If you merely changed your mind about the cut, ask them for a reduced price for another style.

If you hair stylist totally ignored your instructions, tell the stylist you are unhappy as well as inform the salon owner about the incident.

If it’s a problem with hair color, ask for a correction immediately. Keep in mind, sometimes the color may be stronger than you asked for because, says Hair Romance, the goal is for it to last six weeks. “S]o often it can be little strong in the beginning.” Go home and see how the color is after the first wash. If you still hate it, ask for a color correction appointment.  Again, ask for a reduced rate.
