Where’s Left Eye? TLC Remakes ‘Waterfalls’ With Japanese Pop Star
The classic song “Waterfalls” has been revamped for TLC’s 20th year anniversary! But before we celebrate, the family of Lisa ‘Left-Eye’ Lopes is not too happy. Why? Because TLC recorded a new version of “Waterfalls” with Japanese artist, Namie Amuro.
Left Eye’s sister Reigndrop Lopes told TMZ:
“I did not know about it until a fan posted it online. I mean it would have been nice if they would have given us a head up before being surprised.”
Reigndrop also expressed her mother was hurt by the new recording because TLC should have kept Left Eye on the song to honor her memory. After all, “Waterfalls” is one of the group’s most iconic singles, not to mention the powerful message the song sent back in 1995. A lot of fans don’t agree with Reigndrop and her mom, though, assuming the Lopes family was just hoping for another check if Lisa was featured on the track. What do you think?
