That’s right, she was even helping rappers write some of their biggest hits, as was the case when she worked with fellow ATLien Ludacris on the very successful track, “Runaway Love,” featuring Mary J. Blige. Not only did Hilson help contribute lyrics to the song, but she provided background vocals on it as well. The song went on to place number one on the R&B charts, and number two on the Billboard Hot 100 list. And while Luda is known for his more comical tracks, with this more serious song about young teen girls looking to run away from their troubles, he was finally taken more seriously.
