Judge Issues Warrant For Eric Williams’ Arrest In Relation To Paternity Suit
It looks like former Charlotte Bobcats small forward, Eric Williams, has more legal troubles to deal with in addition to his never-ending divorce case with his estranged reality TV star wife, Jennifer Williams. According to TMZ, a judge has just issued a warrant for the arrest of the 40-year-old retired NBA star.
It appears that the arrest warrant is in relation to a paternity suit filed by a woman who claims that he is the father of her son, who was born in October of 2011, while Eric and Jennifer still lived together. According to reports, the judge grew frustrated with Eric’s unwillingness to cooperate in the case and issued a warrant for his arrest. So far, he’s allegedly failed to show up for court appearances and has yet to submit a DNA sample.
Sources are saying that he’s ignoring the case altogether, as if it’s somehow going to disappear. Those close to the case say that he continues to ignore calls and texts from the child’s mother and has yet to hire an attorney. This could definitely serve as a possible explanation as to why his divorce from Jen is taking so long. It appears that he doesn’t like to deal with anything.
Good thing Jen got out of dodge when she did.
