Paris Jackson Reportedly Phoned Crisis Hotline Prior To Alleged Suicide Attempt

Yesterday news broke that Paris Jackson had been rushed to the hospital following a botched suicide attempt. As more details emerge regarding the incident, sources close to law enforcement say that although the police classified it as a “suicide attempt,” cops aren’t convinced that the 15-year-old really wanted to kill herself.

According to TMZ, information gathered by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department suggests that the attempt was simply a cry for help.

“She wanted attention,” one source said.

Before taking one too many pills, the teen reportedly called a suicide hotline, which led police to believe that she really wanted to live.

“It makes no sense if you really want to die to call a hotline, where the person on the other end will get an ambulance over to your house,” the source added.

In addition to trying to overdose on Motrin pills, Paris also allegedly cut her arm with a meat cleaver, which seems pretty serious if you ask me, but the insider believes it was all for attention.

“Who takes Motrin to kill themselves?  She called the suicide hotline because she wanted the attention and wanted to make sure EMTs got there in time.”

When paramedics finally arrived on the scene, sources say that Paris was conscious and didn’t put up a fight when they put her on the stretcher and hauled her off to the hospital.

“She’s into the drama,” the source speculated.

Unfortunately, it really seems as if some people would’ve been more satisfied if headlines read: “Paris Jackson – Dead at Age 15.” Even if it was done solely for attention, it’s frightening that a 15-year-old would risk her life for a little press and attention from her family. Whether or not she wanted to die is debatable, but something is definitely wrong.
