Daytime Gets “Real”: Tamar Braxton and Tamera Mowry Join Others For New Summer Talk Show
Fox Television is gearing up for a fun summer of talk show test runs.
Deadline.com revealed on Friday that Fox has signed a panel of hosts for a new daytime talk show. The Real will be hosted by Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Adrienne Bailon, comedienne Loni Love and TV personality Jeannie Mal.
The Real is looking to skew a younger audience than both The View and The Talk but still with the same roundtable vibe. All of the hosts are under 40 years old so the idea is that they’ll likely be talking about things that are more relevant to a younger crowd.
Tamar and Tamera are both pretty busy with other things going on in their lives. Tamar, of course, is pregnant with her first child. We’re still not sure when she’s due but it might be safe to assume it’ll be after The Real is done with its summer run. She’s also still promoting new music (most recently with “The One”) and has the other reality shows she’s involved in (Braxton Family Values and Tamar & Vince). Tamera, for her part, also has her reality show, Tia and Tamera, with sister Tia Mowry-Hardrict, and is promoting her new mom product, Milky, again with sister Tia.
While the logistics are still being worked out, there is hope that the show will premiere on July 8th. Fox also has another talk show test run set to start July 15th starring Kris Jenner.
Good for them! Would you watch?
