Call Her Big Momma: Biggie Smalls’ Daughter Launches ‘Notorriouss’ Clothing Line
Hip hop great Biggie Smalls’ 19-year-old daughter T’yanna Wallace has officially launched “Notoriouss” — a line of shirts and other fashion items, reports TMZ. Hard to believe she’s 19 right?!
Christopher Wallace (aka The Notorious B.I.G.) had a fashion line himself called Brooklyn Mint. But after his death it fell into disarray. According to AllHipHop, his mother, Voletta Wallace along with B.I.G.’s former managers Mark Pitts and Wayne Barrow, tried to bring the Brooklyn Mint clothing line back but were unsuccessful.
T’yanna, currently a freshman at Penn State, had previously told XXL she wanted to to resurrect the line herself as well. But she has decided now to create a new venture with Notoriouss. That’s great and all, but Complex reports that one of the shirts in the collection has guns all over it. Her father was gunned down in 1997.
“The collection features two T-shirts: one with an image of Jean-Michel Basquiat, and another with the brand’s name juxtaposed above two assault rifles,” the magazine says. The magazine wonders whether Wallace’s people took a look at this before it went into the production, an excellent question since she’s only 19 and clearly incapable of making the most sound decisions on her own.
