Robert Downey Jr.

It’s hard to remember that Iron Man once battled substance abuse. Robert Downey Jr. was a noted, Oscar-nominated actor in the early 1990s with films like Chaplin and Natural Born Killers. Continuously finding work since the 1980s, Robert’s career spiraled into serious drugs that would later cost him job opportunities. For nearly five years, Robert Downey Jr. was in and out of rehab, in front of a judge and even prison for his use of coke, heroin and other illegal substances.

Overcoming his addiction, Robert would soon work hard to rebuild his image and began landing small and supportive roles in films. With Hollywood taking notice of his transformation, Robert earned two blockbuster roles in 2008 (Tropic Thunder and Iron Man) that would put him back on the map and guarantee success for years to come.
