‘I’m Doing The Same Thing You Were Doing, Boo:’ Traci Steele Reacts To K. Michelle Calling Her An Opportunist
Welcome to the pot calling the kettle segment on MadameNoire.com today. In looking over an interview the newest cast member of “Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta,” Traci Steele, did with VH1’s blog, I came across an interesting news nugget. Apparently K. Michelle really does have beef with nearly every single woman on the series because at some point she came for DJ Traci Steele’s head, calling her participation in the show opportunistic.
When asked how she feels about K. trying to call her out, Traci is just as confused as we all are.
“It baffles me because I’m doing the same thing you were doing, boo. What’s the difference between you and I, honey pie. But I let you live. I’m not even sure she knows what an opportunist is. You so far into Wikipedia, look that s— up. Opportunists, they benefit off of other people and they do things maliciously just to gain. I don’t gain from other people. I got on this show to build my family. I’m not hurting anyone in the process and I’m building a brand and I’m building an empire. That’s the same thing you doing, so I mean opportunist, it take one to know one.”
Seriously, you’d be silly to not be an opportunist and appear on reality TV — otherwise you’re just out there looking crazy. See the difference between Nene Leakes and Sheree Whitfield on “Real Housewives of Atlanta. ” And regardless, I just want to know how Traci being an opportunist affects K. Michelle at the end of the day. Oh that’ right, it doesn’t.
Moving on to something that really does affect Traci, in her interview she also talked about why she gets so amped up over her ex, Drew’s, dealings with “THAHAs.” Speaking on upcoming drama we’ll see later in the season when she gets into it with one of Drews said h*s, she said:
“I blame him, honey. He puts these stupid b****es on a pedestal and makes them believe that they actually have some say so and they actually have an opinion. B****, no. The only thing you open your mouth for is to suck a d***. You don’t do nothing else. You do not have an opinion when it comes to me or my family. So that’s where another problem comes in. Big Drew don’t know how to tell these h*s you just a h*. You stand over in the corner, you say nothing.”
All the more reason why Drew’s request for $25,000 from his ex to open up a sneaker boutique seems so outrageous. Unfortunately, Traci says she’s actually considering it.
“That is a huge investment. And if I do or do not invest in this store, my whole focus is my son. What will benefit him? If I invest in the store will it benefit him or will it cause problems, and that’s the dilemma I have….
My experience in dealing with Drew… I’ve seen with my own eyes me trying to help him and someone else benefiting from it and I’m not standing for that anymore. He has to show and prove that things are going to change.”
Let’s hope she means that.
