John Grisham’s ‘A Time To Kill’ Sequel Scheduled To Hit Bookshelves This Fall!
If you’ve ever wondered what became of Jack Brigance following his legal victory at the conclusion John Grisham’s 1989 legal suspense novel A Time Kill, you’ll be able to find out as soon as October of this year! We’ve just learned that Grisham is gearing up to release a sequel to the popular novel titled, Sycamore Row.
According to the AP, the novel will follow small-town Mississippi attorney Jake Brigance as he returns to the courtroom, taking on another challenging case. The suspense thriller will be published by Knobf Doubleday and is expected to offer Grisham’s classic “intrigue, suspense and plot twists.”
Unfortunately, there’s been no word on whether or not we will find out what became of Carl Lee, little Tonya and the rest of the Hailey family after Carl Lee’s ‘not guilty’ verdict, but it would be absolutely wonderful if they make a cameo or two in the novel.
So far, there hasn’t been much information offered about the nature of the case Jake will be taking on in the upcoming novel, but according to a quick description found on the publisher’s website, the case has the potential to bring devastating division among residents of the small town of Clanton, Mississippi.
“Often named an all-time favorite by John Grisham’s legions of fans, the book that started it all gets a brand-new chapter. America’s favorite storyteller returns to Ford County, Mississippi, where defense attorney Jake Brigance will have to fight for justice in a trial that could tear the small town of Clanton apart.”
Sycamore Row goes on sale October 22nd. Will you be picking up a copy?
