DON’T try to steal clients

You might be thinking to yourself, “These are my clients I worked hard to establish, so why shouldn’t I take them with me?” That’s a fair assessment because you do work hard to establish your brand and generate business. It just might be a wise decision to speak with your boss about the best way to inform your clients of your resignation. The last thing you want to do is contact someone in secret only to violate a contract you signed with your company. This can land in you in trouble so play it safe and double check before reaching out. And you never know. If you have a good relationship with your clients, they may follow you wherever you go.
