My Bad Y’all: Celebrities Who Are Trying To Undo Major Mistakes

Celebrities are people too. And sometimes people do things that just don’t make a whole lot of sense. Whether they realize it or not, these celebs are going to regret their foolishness eventually — some sooner rather than later. Unfortunately for them, you can’t press rewind once the paparazzi get involved.

Joe Budden

It’s not often that you hear a brother apologizing for his part in a love triangle. So we were surprised to hear Joe Budden say that he wanted to press rewind on the whole Kaylin and Tahiry mess. Well, not his relationship with his “girl” and his “friend” but the fight they had on national TV.

He told Radio.com:

“Are there moments that I would have wanted to go differently? Certainly. I wish that Kaylin and Tahiry wouldn’t have ended up scrapping on TV. But the reality is I did all I could to control what I could in that situation to try to make it go a different way and it didn’t. I controlled what I could and that’s me. I’m powerless over what they do.”

That’s probably as good as an apology as we’re going to get out of your boy.

K Michelle

K. Michelle is involved in so much drama she may finally be having a melt down. She’s shaded, spilled tea and fallen out with nearly every member of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. And while she might not really have a firm grip on the meaning of regret, she did say this in a recent Twitter rant:
How long do you think this change of heart will last?

Fantasia Barrino

Fantasia has been trying to revamp her image for a minute, and despite a few slip ups here and there this year, it looks like she finally gets it. She recently told the ladies of “Tehe View,” “I was taking care of everybody, holding everything down. And there were so many things that were going wrong…” Good thing like she said, sometimes you have to lose to win.

Chris Brown

Nobody is better at pressing rewind than Chris Brown. Once you convince your victim to take you back, you’re ready to teach a master class on apologies.

Recently, a source close to Chris and Rihanna let us in on his rewind technique. Here’s what happened: Apparently Chris went ham and hung up on Ri during a heated argument, starting the breakup rumors we all heard. But then he pulled this move:

“[Chris] told her he was sorry for being a jerk and he gave her a wrapped bottle of Ace of Spades. He gave it to her and was like ‘sip on this when you’re on tour and need a minute alone. Think of [me] – I love you.’”

“Chris is always doing little s**t like that that’s genuine because sometimes he does f**k up and doesn’t really mean to. Rihanna thought it was cute. She told Chris that she loved him and misses him.

Shakira

Back in 2001, Shakira hooked up with Argentine business man Antonio de la Rúa and then decided to make him her business manager.

Then she left him for a younger man (soccer star Gerard Pique) and had his baby.

Now Antonio is suing Shakira for $100 million — what he thinks is his share of her “past and future partnership profits”.

That’s an expensive way to learn that business and romance don’t mix.

Kevin Hart

Kevin Hart took to Twitter to apologize to his fans for getting drunk, getting in his Mercedes and then getting pulled over by the California Highway Patrol:

“When the cop asked me to take the sobriety test I said ‘WHY WASTE OUR TIME … I’M DRUNK MAN.

“Drinking & driving is not a game or a laughing matter. People have lost lives because of stupid … this!”

“This is a wakeup call for me, I have to be smarter & last night I wasn’t … everything happens for a reason.”

Nadya Suleman

Remember Octomom? Right about now she’s wishing she wasn’t quite so nasty. Apparently, she snuck out on her landlord in the middle of the night over owing a couple months’ rent. And she left the apartment so disgusting it ended up in the news.

According to the landlord, her place smelled like urine and it was covered in trash that included used toilet paper, old food, empty booze bottles and more.

Now child family services is investigating whether or not to take away her 8 kids. Get it together girl.

DMX

DMX wants to press rewind on his participation in the new reality show Fix My Life. His team recently released a statement saying that Iyanla ruined his life by bringing up issues that could hurt his career — like his drug abuse and mental illness:

“DMX agreed to be a guest on ‘Iyanla: Fix My Life’ with the understanding that she would be helping his relationships with his 10 children.

“When he arrived for the taping, most of the content was focused on his struggles with drugs and poor parenting. Iyanla did not ‘fix’ DMX’s life just made his image worse, and does not have DMX’s personal written consent to use the footage.“

Don’t ask for the truth if you can’t handle it.

Lil Scrappy

The checks from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta are rolling in just in time for Lil’ Scrappy to regret not handling his debts. He owes his creditors hundreds of thousands and they’re garnishing his wages to get it.

Until he gets his finances together, we’ll be seeing a lot more of him on reality TV. He’s making new music too. But we’ve heard it and it’s probably not going to pay the bills.

Keyshia Cole

Keyshia isn’t big on apologies. She’s gone after “Bow Down” and Destiny’s Child’s halftime performance and she says she stands by the shade. But she might regret it one day.

Her fans are angry and other artists are starting to ice Keyshia out. In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, The Dream said that he sees Beyonce as fam so he won’t work with Keyshia:

“Right now because of what happened I can’t and I think she would respect why I can’t. That’s my family. You have a grown up conversation you know, ‘You’re talking about my family and you can’t do that.’”

Maybe now that her mouth is getting in the way of her paper she’ll shut it down.

Rick Ross

In case you haven’t heard, Rick is under major fire for his verse in the remix of Rocko’s You Don’t Even Know It:

“Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it”

The lyric sounds more than a little like date rape. And in response Rick’s fans protested and Reebok cancelled his contract. But Rick isn’t too big to apologize and he released this public statement:

“Before I am an artist, I am a father, a son, and a brother to some of the most cherished women in the world. So for me to suggest in any way that harm and violation be brought to a woman is one of my biggest mistakes and regrets.
“As an artist, one of the most liberating things is being able to paint pictures with my words. But with that comes a great responsibility. And most recently, my choice of words was not only offensive, it does not reflect my true heart. And for this, I apologize. To every woman that has felt the sting of abuse, I apologize.

Kim Porter

Kim Porter has got to regret whatever she did to her nanny — Dawn Drago — that made her spill her tea all over the tabloids.

Drago says that in the year (2011 – 2012) that she worked for Kim and Diddy she saw Kim “chain-smoking” trees and doing yayo in front of the babies. She even says that one day she was taking them to school and noticed that they were covered “in a white powdery substance.”

Drugs all over the babies? That’s deep.

Deion Sanders

Deion may have custody of the kids and an air-tight prenup. But he might yet regret not being kinder to the mother of his kids.

Pilar just announced that she’s releasing a “tell all” book about her marriage to Deion. She told Hip Hollywood:

“I want to be a mentor to other women who have been abused, by sharing my story, my struggles and letting them in, it will not only help heal myself but others experiencing the same trials and struggles as well.

“There are thousands of women fighting for their rights, their children and their own identity out there. We as women and mothers need to ban together to show support for injustice. I will continue my fight as long as I walk this earth, and with Jesus at my side all will prevail.”

Kenya Moore

Hitting (or threatening to hit) a pregnant woman is so out of line that even Miss Diva Kenya can recognize that she’s out of line.

She released this “apology” on her Bravo blog:

“I hate liars. We all saw Phaedra lie last season about the timing of her pregnancy, lie to Cynthia, etc. She never told the truth and will never tell the truth about her video sales.

However, that didn’t warrant any threat toward a pregnant woman. I was keeping my composure but that was unacceptable. Having said that, whether you are #TeamStallion or team broke-down donkey, my fitness video sales have broken records and the video is and remains more successful than hers.

The facts are the facts. I’ve outsold her and have the more successful video. She can lie about my “fake” body all she wants, no one cares or believes her. Nice try phony Phae Phae, your smear campaign was an epic failure.”

Waka Flocka

Waka Flocka hasn’t apologized for saying that black women were out of style during his radio interview with The Boom Box. But we think he’s gonna regret turning his back on his female fans.

Here’s what he said:

“How you feel about white women lookin’ good right now? How you feel about that…Spanish girls is taken — no, used to be black girls was the baddest s**t, you know what I mean? Spanish, J-Lo be poppin’ … white women are poppin’ right now, man. They f**kin’ poppin’. Imma just be real.”

Ray J

Releasing “I Hit It First” was a bold move on Ray J’s part. But now he’s back peddaling fast. The song is clearly about Kim but now he’s denying it. He told Hot 97:

“It’s just a record, yo. You know what I’m saying? They’re putting a hundred on fifty. You know? It’s a song. It’s not about [Kim]. It’s about a concept, you know what I’m saying? People going way too deep. They just gotta keep it on the surface, I’m not trying to create no war. It’s all love, it’s just music. [laughs] I think people digging into it too deep. Like, it’s a song, we just having fun. We not on that, we not on ‘that’ situation. We just making music.”
