A couple of weeks ago we told you that Bajan bad girl Rihanna would be releasing a documentary about her highly publicized and extremely criticized “777 Tour.” As we get closer to the film’s May 6th debut, Rihanna and her camp release bits and pieces about the documentary. And when we say bits and pieces, we literally mean bits and pieces.
Yesterday Fox released an “exclusive world premiere teaser,” and a tease is exactly what it was. With 33,539 views to date, the sneak peek leaves fans knowing just as much as they knew prior to the trailer’s release, which isn’t much. While we know that the film will document Rih Rih globetrotting, making appearances in seven countries within a seven-day time span, there are still so many unanswered questions. Will the film show the angry, hungry and sleep deprived journalists who accompanied the “Diamonds” singer on her seven-day tour? Will we get a more up close and personal look at how she preps for shows? Obviously Rihanna maintaining mystery surrounding the film doc is her team’s way of building anticipation and I must admit that it’s working.
The 16-second trailer opens to the sound of roaring fans, offering a quick peak of the singer seemingly making her way onto her “777” jet. The teaser ends playing the singer-turned-designer’s “Right Now” track.
Although it’s a little disappointing that the trailer didn’t reveal much, I’m sure her navy still eagerly awaits the documentary’s May 6th debut.
