Sometimes celebrities make it hard to get on their team. These stars’ recent comments have left their fans confused between the crazy advice, rants and shade that have come out on Twitter, in interviews and on the streets. Here’s the best of the best.

Jill Scott

In the upcoming Mother’s Day issue of Ebony, Jill Scott gave an interview about motherhood that may have offended some of her fans — especially single mothers trying to make it on their own:

“That I-can-do-it-by-myself mentality is a lie. I’m sorry if I hurt anybody’s feelings, but you cannot do it all by yourself. You need a village: some aunties, grandmoms, friends. I couldn’t do this by myself and would be a fool to think I could.”

Unfortunately, there are still a lot of moms doing it all by themselves and doing it quite well.

Kim Kardashian

Kim’s fans and haters — or anyone who’s seen Keeping Up With the Kardashians — probably has worries about Kim’s suitability for motherhood. Her recent quip about raising an interracial baby doesn’t help:

“I think that the most important thing is how I would want to raise my children, is just to not see color. That’s important to me.”

Is it possible to live colorblind in 2013? Some of her fans don’t think so. Whatever happened to raising babies who have self confidence because of their race, not in spite of it?

Chris Brown

So, apparently, Chris Brown thinks someone wants to hear his take on relationship advice. According to TMZ, he was out at Emerson Theater in Hollywood and shared this with the audience:

“You GOTTA say that one thing to her … Don’t make me have to tell you again, that’s my p-ssy baby! … so you better not give it away! “So every person in this motherF–king building, if you got a bad b–ch you better say that sh-t to her, or she might f–k another n-gga.”

Lil ‘Kim

The Queen Bee took foolery to another level when when she got on Twitter and blamed Photoshop — not thousands of dollars in plastic surgery — for her changing face:

Is the Paparazzi really out to get her? Or is she losing touch with reality?

Nick Cannon

Nick is learning some hard lessons about how keeping it real can go wrong. For some reason he thought it would be a good idea to Tweet about beating his kids:

Predictably, he’s catching heat from fans, haters, websites and everywhere else.

Winter Ramos

In a recent interview with All Hip Hop, Winter Ramos blamed her busy groupie history on being Spanish and having long hair:

“I’m not a bad looking young lady. I’m the typical female they go for. Spanish, long hair and pretty girl. Since those were the guys I were around all the time those were the guys who would approached me that kind of intrigued me. So why not?”

That’s one way to handle male attention. But does being Spanish and having long hair require you to sleep with the men you meet?

Erica Mena

Almost everything that comes out of Erica Mena’s mouth these days is an issue. Recently on Twitter, she released this statement to announce to the world that she got down with chicks:

The Twitter thing:

But Love and Hip Hop fans remember her faked pregnancy test and wonder if they can trust Erica Mena’s most recent bid for attention.

Tyrese and Rev Run recently published Manology: Secrets of Your Man’s Mind Revealed. But before fans have a chance to read the book, Tyrese is ruining its reputation with the advice he’s been giving on publicity tours. Tyrese had this advice for ladies on a first date:

““They talk too much. It’s simple: ladies, I love you to death, but shut up. Stop telling random guys that you meet all your business. You don’t know what’s gonna happen in this particular relationship: he might be s[w]exy, tall, charming and charismatic.

But all of the drama – dysfunction from your childhood, all of the abusive relationships, being cheated on and lied to, going into details about what didn’t work from your relationships in the past – becomes too much information.”

Who wants to pay $15 for that kind of advice?

Porsha Stewart

In an interview with The Grio, Porsha Stewart tried to school her fans on the virtues of being submissive:

“That’s not a bad thing, that’s a great thing,” Porsha said on being submissive. “We’re supposed to be submissive to our husbands and let them be the leaders. I’m old school in the way that I think about that.”

But before any of Porsha Stewart’s fans could remind her that it is 2013, news of her upcoming divorce hit the tabloids.

Fantasia Barrino

Fantasia can sing, but when it comes to relationships she’s not quite as talented. In a recent interview with Sister 2 Sister, Fantasia Barrino discussed her split with Antwaun Cook. In it she had a lot to say about what the two of them have learned:

“Me and Antwaun, as of now, we are not together…There’s trust issues. There’s just a lot of stuff that kinda got put in the mix. And I, at one point, I wanted to make everybody else happy. To love him, to make sure Zion was okay, to make sure everything—but I had to get to a place where I had to learn how to love Fantasia.”

Fantasia sounds contrite, but some of her fans have to wonder why Fantasia didn’t mention the fact that Antwaun already had a wife…and how it sounds like Fantasia might think about returning to the man who nearly drove her to suicide.

Nicole Scherzinger

Nicole Scherzinger confused fans of Beyonce and her former group when she beat around the bush to to throw shade at Beyonce’s new song, “Bow Down” in a Capital FM interview:

“I don’t know what to make of it quite yet. I’m probably Beyoncé’s biggest fan. I love Bey, I think she’s Queen Bey for sure, nobody can touch her, but I don’t know. I think there’s going to be really great music hopefully to follow – but I’m not used to the song yet.

It just humanizes her because obviously she’s going through stuff and she’s just kind of being honest – whether or not we want to hear it through her music…I’m hoping some great music [will] come out – she never disappoints. I’m just not used to this.”

Girl, just come out and say it. You don’t like “Bow Down.” I doubt Bey’s feelings will be hurt.

Kandi Burruss

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star dished out a few helpings of advice in the April 2013 issue of Upscale magazine. Unfortunately, not all of her fans will agree on her point of view.

On Pre-nups:

“Pre-nups should be standard. Those things should be put in place when everyone is thinking clear-minded. Why would you wait until y’all fall out? People do things to hurt the other when they’re hurt.”

What happened to ’til death do us part?

Kandi also had some advice for a reader asking about the importance of sex in a relationship: “Think about it though—if the sex ain’t good, one of y’all will get bored and cheat or just be bored and tired of them.”

Is that really what relationships boil down to?

Lena Dunham

On the last season of Girls, Lena Dunham wasn’t afraid to open up about mental illness. But after a recent rant where she called talking about pets in public “offensive” Lena’s fans will start worrying about her mental health:

“Just discussing your dog can be as tiresome and offensive as talking about the weather, your own dreams, or the newest wrinkle in your married sex life. At least when people talk about their children, there is a chance that the kid will grow up to be President.”

Justin Bieber

The Canadian pop idol shocked the world when he popped off at the paparazzi in London this past March. His team had to “hold him back” as he shouted:

“What the f**k did you say? I’ll f**king beat the f**k out of you!”

Who knew The Biebs had it in him?
