Personalize And Share: Flipboard 2.0 Launches
Flipboard has launched a series of updates for iPad and iPhone users that will allow them to (finally) bookmark content they’d like to come back to and talk with others about the things they’re most interested in.
The app gives users the ability to create as many magazines as they’d like by clicking a “+” button that will mark the story. You can then share your magazines with others. Additional new features also include the ability to send comments to people using @username and a “By Our Readers” section that allows you to find content that fellow Flipboard users have highlighted. The Flipboard blog has a rundown of the latest features for your perusal. According to Mashable, “Flipboard is, in my experience, now the best way to find recent content in lifestyle and niche categories.”
The Los Angeles Times outlines five uses for the improved Flipboard, including business promotional purposes.
Flipboard has 50 million users. Are you one of them? I sat on a PR and media panel yesterday and Flipboard was highly recommended. The clip below outlines how to use the new app. No word yet on when it will be available for devices outside of the Apple line up.
