Ciara is out in these streets trying to promote her upcoming release, One Woman Army, and while the first two singles might not have shut the radio down and raced up the charts (“Sorry” and “Got Me Good”), we can’t deny that her new single, “Body Party” is a banger. According to Billboard.com’s The Juice, the song was co-written with Ciara’s boyfriend Future, who can be heard doing back up ad-libs with his Oooh-Oohs, all of course in auto-tune. Ci Ci however keeps her vocals away from the computers, and while she sounds good most of the time, when she tries to hit that soprano note around the chorus, I cringed. Just a little. However, I’m loving the subtle use of the Ghost Town DJ song “My Boo” both through the sample and the chorus: “Boy you should know that…your love is always on my mind/Im not gonna fight it/I want it all the time.” Produced by Mike WiLL Made It, Ciara told Billboard’s The Juice that working on the song with Future helped her learn a lot about herself:

“He’ s such an amazing, creative person. I can be very creatively expressive myself, but there’s nothing like being able to work with someone that can bring a new flavor. What I like about [working with] him, it’s almost like I got to learn more things about myself.”

Well all right, all right. Let’s see if all that creativity from both sides (and Mike WiLL Made It) equals out to a hit. Are you feeling it?

And if that’s not enough for you, Rihanna is almost finished prepping for her Diamonds tour with ASAP Rocky, which opens this Friday in New York. To get people hype about it, homegirl has been releasing videos of her team picking dancers, costumes and most recently trying to create the dance routine for everybody’s favorite strip-a-licious jam, “Pour It Up.” In the video below, you can see Rihanna and her choreographer shaking a leg and whining (or winding–whatever) to the jam as the choreographer explains that the dance movements can best be classified as “stripper slash hood choreography.” Whatever that means. Check the moves out below and let us know what you think!
