He’s slowly talking to you less
Though the loss of communication doesn’t hit you right away, if a guy is looking to break up with you, he will definitely slowly reduce the amount of communication you guys have. Maybe he will stop texting you as much and phone calls come to a complete cease. When communication slowly fades away, he may be plotting a way out. But he’s obviously trying to do it quietly.

Fighting has become more frequent
In a relationship, fights are all but inevitable. However, you may have noticed that recently your man seems to be picking more fights and getting into an argument over the dumbest of things. This may be because he is planning his way out and is trying to distance himself from you and the relationship. Fights build tension and take some of the blame off of him.

You don’t feel close to him anymore
At one point in time you two were inseparable. You loved being around him and how he made you feel. You felt connected on a variety of levels. But now you feel the complete opposite of how you used to. You don’t feel as loved or cared about and he doesn’t make any efforts to remedy it.

He’s talking about a lot of change
He wants to go back to school and get another degree. He wants to take up a job in another city. He wants to buy a home. If a guy is looking to break up with you, he may talk about a lot of new plans that he has but these plans don’t really involve you. Clearly if he hasn’t included you in these plans, he isn’t envisioning a future.

A lot of couples say those three special words a lot, and it’s likely that you two did as well. However, recently the “I love yous” and sweet nothings haven’t been said much and when they are, they seem forced and lacking meaning and purpose. If he’s fallen out of love and wants to get out of the relationship, your guy will start cutting you off emotionally.

Sex becomes non-existent
At one point your sex life was nothing short of amazing, but now it seems that you two have gone celibate. Sometimes a guy will avoid putting out in bed to hopefully draw you away from him. He may even spill out the “I’m tired” excuse, which you know isn’t like your guy! When your love life declines, your relationship may be on the downfall too.

Not much is said in person
Before all of this, conversations used to be interesting, meaningful, and timeless, and they just flowed. You’d have inside jokes and he’d make comments that would make you laugh. However, things have changed and now talking in person is dry and forced. When conversations become boring and useless, it’s a big red flag that something is going wrong.

He doesn’t make any promises or commitments
Usually on a yearly basis you guys plan a vacation together and small dates here and there. But now he doesn’t want to commit to anything and instead says “we’ll see,” “maybe,” “time will tell.” This is an obvious sign that he does not have any plans to commit to something that involves you. Plans means that he’ll have to spend more time together in a relationship that he doesn’t want.

A while back he gave you one of his favorite shirts to have in your dresser and you gave him a super nice watch. When a guy is looking to leave the relationship, you may notice him giving back anything you have gotten him and taking back items he has given you. The sudden take and give backs are a huge sign that something isn’t right.

Facebook changes
In the world today, almost everyone has a Facebook and at one point his profile picture was one of you two. Now it’s a picture of him that really shows off his looks. Clearly he’s slowly but surely trying to make himself out to be single and available. He may even hide his relationship status to again, slowly move into the break-up phase.

Made up alibis
So you’ve asked him to go see a movie with you and then out to a dinner date a few days later. Instead of accepting, he declines and gives you a long and drawn out alibi as to why he can’t see you those days or any days after. Usually these alibis are elaborate but all made up, and you’ll spot them immediately.

He wants alone time
This is a really obvious sign that something isn’t right with the relationship anymore. If your guy wants a lot of alone time, and not just the usual “me time” together, he’s trying to distance himself from you and spend less time around you. Asking for time alone on a routine basis is a clear sign that he is no longer interested in being with you.

His friends aren’t as welcoming anymore
Guys tend to talk to their friends, especially their guy friends, about their relationship and the path it’s on. If he wants to end the relationship, it’s likely that he will tell his friends about it. This may in turn make them less welcoming and warming towards you. They may cancel plays that you’ve had together and they may be more hesitant to spend time with you.

Women are really good at sensing things before they happen. Do you just feel like something is wrong? Is your heart telling you that things are going downhill quickly?
