It’s ‘Big Pippen Baby’: Scottie Pippen And His Wife Land New Reality Show

It’s looking like WE tv may be beating VH1 and Shed Media at their own game pretty soon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network, which is owned by AMC, has listed “Big Pippen” among several docuseries that are in development for it’s 2013-2014 lineup.

The WEtv network revealed that the show will document the lives of retired Chicago Bulls small forward, Scottie Pippen and his wife Larsa. The show is expected to depict the glamorous life of luxury that the Pippen’s have been afforded due to Scottie’s successful career as an NBA star while still portraying true to life issues that couples have to endure regardless the size of their bank accounts.

Big Pippen, from Left Right Productions, revolves around Chicago power couple Larsa and Scottie Pippen. From private jets to designer digs, diamond rings and six NBA championships, the Pippen’s live a truly charmed life. Add in her overbearing family and his clan from Arkansas, and this duo is living life Big Pippen style.”

With great new additions like “Tamar & Vince” and “Mary Mary” WE tv has risen to become a major player in the reality television arena and it seems that they are coming for the number one spot. The show seems like it will be fairly interesting as pesky in-laws is probably a subject that many married couples can relate to. It is also important to note that unlike VH1’s “Basketball Wives”, with the exception of Doug Christie, this show will be featuring a very notable figure and player in from the NBA as opposed to players we’ve only heard of because their wives or baby mamas are on a reality show. Plus it would be pretty cool to see what Scottie has been up to since his retirement from professional basketball. If VH1 wants to stay in the game they had better snag some real basketball players and quickly.

Will you be watching “Big Pippen”?
