High absenteeism and turnover. Typically, high absenteeism and turnover can be attributed to poor alignment, connections and opportunities for growth. To be sure, there are a few industries such as the media where high turnover is the normative. But, if you do not work in such known industries and you observe high absenteeism and turnover across departments, then it is relatively good sign that your colleagues are not happy and do not see your respective workplace as a haven for a fulfilling career.
