3. Eat Before You Go Out
During the busy holiday season, you’re probably running around visiting family and going to parties, so rather than pigging out at your company soiree, eat before you leave the house. This will keep you from over-eating calorie laden, fattening “holiday food.” Eat a yogurt or something else high in protein before you venture out so that if you DO eat at the party, you won’t eat as much. Use a small plate and fill it up if you MUST eat once you get there. Since you’ll be less hungry because you ate at home, this will trick your brain into thinking that you’re eating more than you actually are. I know it isn’t fun but do you really feel like beating yourself up again about how much you ate?
