2. Boycott Limited Time Treats
Listen, these treats actually appear during a most unofficial holiday: Halloween. You start to see advertisements for pumpkin lattes, eggnog pancakes and basically anything seasonal on the Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts holiday menu. Don’t fall for the okey doke! These holiday treats are usually filled with cream, sugar, caramel, and chocolate – which are no treat to your waistline. But because they only offer them for a limited time during the holiday season, folks feel like they must consume one daily while they last. It’s okay to have ONE, maybe two, but try to avoid making this a regular part of your diet for an entire month. You’d be surprised how many pounds you can pack on in just a few weeks, and it’ll take you twice as long – minimum – to work those pounds off. Enjoy seasonal or limited time treats in moderation…they’ll be back around next year.
